From a humanitarian perspective, systematic efforts have been made to improve the lives, particularly the psychological and social well-being, of individuals with disabilities to the greatest extent possible. Similarly, the treatment of individuals with intellectual disabilities within the social context, which is the focus of this paper, is no different.
