Background: Nurse performance is one of the important components in the delivery of health services, especially in psychiatric hospitals that require coordination, responsibility, and cooperation in providing nursing care. Nurse performance can be related to various factors, including responsibilities, achievements, incentives, and employment relationships.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between responsibility, achievement, incentives, and work relationships with the performance of nurses in the inpatient room of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Psychiatric Hospital in 2026.
Methods: This study used a quantitative design with an observational approach. The study population was nurses in the inpatient room of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Mental Hospital with a sample of 89 respondents. Data analysis was carried out bivariously using the Chi-square test and multivariate analysis using binary logistics regression.
Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between responsibility and nurse performance (p = 0.000), achievement and nurse performance (p = 0.009), incentives and nurse performance (p = 0.005), and employment relationship with nurse performance (p = 0.000). The results of the logistics regression showed that all variables remained significant, with a Exp(B) value of responsibility of 55,305, achievement of 32,743, incentives of 27,730, and employment relations of 174,238.
Conclusion: Responsibilities, achievements, incentives, and employment relationships are significantly related to the performance of nurses in the inpatient room of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Psychiatric Hospital in 2026. Strengthening responsibility, rewards for achievements, managing incentives, and improving relationships and cooperation between officers need to be a concern in efforts to support nurse performance.
