The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived social support and anxiety severity in individuals participating in psychotherapy. Grounded in the context of psychological resource theory and the significance of social support in the treatment of emotional disorders, the research focused on the impact of subjective support on anxiety symptoms, both trait and state. The study was conducted with a group of 101 participants, utilizing the Interpersonal Support Evaluation List (ISEL) and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Statistical analysis revealed significant negative correlations between the level of social support and anxiety severity. The findings emphasize that social support is a crucial resource in reducing anxiety symptoms and enhancing the effectiveness of therapy.
